Over the past several years, EVREYONE on the planet has been bombarded with this symbol! It's on totebags, plastic bags, notebooks, (some) egg cartons, even fast food and cosmetic packaging! Well, after a few dozen readings of the children's book, Michael Recycle and the sudden driveway appearance of a VERY LARGE GREEN trashcan specifically made for recycled household waste, I FINALLY took a look at my business and wondered how I could put this RR&R in JJVann & Co.?

After a few "playdates" with my family and friends, my creative juices started flowing and off I went! I was completely re-energized thinking, designing and creating new was to use "old" things! It's amazing what wonderful things people throw away!

Crazy but Friend-Filled Day

I love being busy and today was certainly one of those days! It started with a cup of coffee then down to JJVann & Co.'s headquarters (a.k.a. my laundry room) to finish a few jobs. Then off to lunch with a friend, the from there, hockey with some friends then off to gymnastics with a friend and her children and finally to a birthday party where again, I was met with smiles from more friends! Sunday; My WORK Day

Most every Sunday brings routine for my family and I; 9a.m. mass, breakfast at Spencer's Grill then household projects. Well, today was no exception. I spent hte day doing my "jobs" from cleaning up after a weekend of entertaining, finishing up my laundry, cleaning up my office area, making my aunt a 60th birthday present and this week I threw in trimming out the "dead wood" from my 2 5ft. hydrangea bushes I transplanted last week. All in all, I am caught up and ready to start off my week balanced and ready to get busy designing my new GRADE SCHOOL bracelets and new turquoise jewlery! It is truly amazing what a calm day outside can do for the soul! Being out in nature has an overwhelming power over me and it allows me to breath deeply and slowly and get back in balance. It ignites something inside me and replenishes my "creative juices" as my mom call them. Not quite sure how it works yet I am not questioning either! I LOVE IT!
As promised, I worked for over 8 hours out on my screened in porch and got so much accomplished and still while my children played, ate and enjoyed their summer vacation. We all slept like babies and are doing it again today; thanks to great weather!

Another Sleepless Night...

Once again, I had too much on my mind to rest soundly so I tried to make the best of it! Instead of counting sheep, I counted BEADS! COURAGE learned through a Kindergardener; MINE

I learned something today through my son! Courage is something that just 9 short months ago most BRAND NEW kindergardeners may not have had...and as a parent trying to explain that one needs to have the courage (as a 5 maybe 6 year old) to brave a new school, a new teacher, new classmates, new routines, new learning material is an EXTREMELY hard thing do much less trying to convince one of it. Change, for most of us, is scary and difficult and comes with feet dragging and sometimes tears. But as I watched, through my camera lense today, at the utter joy and pure happiness oozing out of my son's every movement with his classmates, now friends, I knew in my heart that not only did he muster up the COURAGE to face all the challenges before him just 9 months prior, but he overcame his fears and insecurities and completely blossomed! As I soaked up all I had witnessed in just a few short hours this morning and reflexed upon all of his accomplishments throughout his KINDERGARDEN career, I happened to open a box of inventory I had ordered and 2 items fell out; my guardian angel charms and my serenity prayer bracelets. God whisper, DAMN RIGHT! He was with us BOTH the whole 9 month and especially today and I thank HIM! Without God, I KNOW I would not have the happy, loving, SMART, good-hearted little boy who just grew into a beautiful young 1st grader right before my eyes! In closing, let's keep our hearts and minds open to change; for good or bad, only the Big Guy knows and He does have a sense of humor and just keep saying to yourself...
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; COURAGE to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference!

And to my new 1st grader- I love you and could not be more proud of who you are becoming! Congratulations on a wonderful school year!

I am aware that this update is a few days later than I had hoped (daily is ideal) yet here it is and know that I am working diligently to not only become more computer savvy but also creatively intuitive as well! Q. What if I have a guest who can’t attend my party?

Q. Do you buy and/or remove stones?
A. We do not buy stones. We will, however, try to remove them for you if you would like. Sometimes removal will not be possible. Please note: we cannot be responsible for damage to stones during removal.
Q. I don’t have any gold – can I still have a Gold Rush party?
A. Of course! Most hosts don’t have gold because they’ve already sold it at the previous party where they booked their party. You can still earn LOTS of money!

My family continues to thank our real estate lady and St. Joseph for his help in the sale of our home in O'Fallon, Mo. We sold on April 30th, moved into our apt. on May 18th and closed on May 21st! U Design Jewelry believes in giving back to the local community and around the country.

We are excited to announce the results of our Great Holiday Bracelet Giveaway. U Design Representatives all around the country came together to donate Child Bracelets this Christmas. We teamed with the Direct Selling Association (DSA) and the TODAY Show Toy Drive to bless some children less fortunate.

As a company, JJVann & Co wants to assist you in raising money and earning huge profits with our fundraising programs. We have created these 2 fundraising options to show schools, churches, youth groups, sports teams, clubs or any other organization, what all of their options are when it comes to finding a fundraiser company.

Although, some organizations have great success with cookie dough, magazine and candy bar fundraisers, we want to let you know that there are other options out there when organizing a fundraiser. If you are looking for a new way to raise funds for your organization, we are here to help! There are a LOT of fundraiser opportunities with products such as personalized stationary, health & beauty items, gourmet food & beverages, jewelry and even custom embroidery! Take some time and look around our site for these fundraiser ideas and many more.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Choose which company(ies) you would like to use for your FUNdraiser.

The Catalog Fundraiser: A given number of catalogs will be distributed along with order forms with a start and end date will be set prior to the distribution of the catalogs. Once all orders are collected and returned to JJVann & Co., all orders will be tallied and given back within 3-4 weeks along with a check made payable to your organization.

The Open Fundraiser: A date, time and place are pre-determined where individuals can come at their leisure, browse, design, sample, etc. the products. E-mail addresses will need to be provided 2 weeks prior to the event and in return, the requested number of invitations will be given to the fundraising representative to hand out all participants, their family, friends, neighbor , co-workers, etc. Orders will be taken and closed the day/evening of the OPEN event. JJVann & Co. will total up your FUNdraising efforts, process them and give them back within 3-4 weeks along with a check made payable to your organization.

The Virtual Fundraiser: All orders will be placed online; via individual shows with the company(ies) you choose and/or by e-mailing orders directly to a JJVann & Co. representative. A start and end date will be set and once all orders are collected, JJVann & Co., will total up your FUNdraising efforts, process them and give them back within 3-4 weeks along with a check made payable to your organization.

3. With a minimum order of 25 items, JJVann & Co. will donate back to your organization $5 for every $30+ item sold and $2 for every item sold that is $25 or less.

4. Requirements:

All money MUST BE COLLECTED by a representative of your organization, if not by JJVann & Co. For added convenience, MasterCard, Visa and Discover cards are all accepted along with checks made payable to: JJVann & Co.

Proceed Examples:

25 items x $30 = $750 collected

25 items x $5 = $125 earned

25 items x $25 = $625 collected

25 items x $2 = $50 earned

About Me

I am a 35 year old designer from Kirkwood, Missouri. Named after my husband, Jeff Vann and I, JJVann & Co. was strategically created in late spring of 2001.

Being a creative, type-A personality, newly-wed who had just been down-sized from Corporate America, I had a BIG decision to make; go back to school to get my Masters in Photography or start my own business. After being advised from a counselor at Webster University NOT to get myself into anymore debt by getting a Masters in a field that would not guarantee a full-time job when I finished I decided to move forward with a company name and version 1 of my every changing business plan (currently on version 5 in 9 years).

Nine plus years in the making, JJVann & Co. has evolved into the revolving, successful business it is today! As a picky and particular designer, a perfectionist at heart, I take pride in personally designing my items; whether it be in the form of personalized jewelry, custom clothing, unique stationary or simply down –right, smell good Scentsy; all the way down to my packaging! My items sell themselves although my devoted customers are my walking, talking advertising, along with print and online media. Repeat and referral business is a key part of my business plan so I continue to keep my pieces affordable, fun and most importantly, what YOU, my customer, want!

The most important thing to me and my business, in my life, is my family. My family comes first and foremost! Through their unconditional love, support and continued encouragement, I do what I love and love what I do!
